City of York

Aujourd'hui, nous entamons notre retour en France pour les fêtes de Noël. Ce qui nous attends: un autre road-trip!

Le moment incontournable de la journée: la visite de la ville de York: immense cathédrale, charmantes rues piétonnes, délicieux cup-cakes et un marché de Noël innatendu. C'est cadeau!

Today is the first day of our trip back to France to celebrate Chrismas time with our family. Ahead of us now: another road trip! (Yeah!)

The best part was actually visiting the city of York with its huge cathedral, charming old streets, delicious cup-cakes and a Xmas market. Enjoy!

Barnard Castle and surroundings

 Randonnée du jour: Un bel allé-retour allant de Barnard Castle à Cotherstone tout en longeant la rivière Tees, à travers champs et forêts.

Hiking of the day: A pretty return from Barnard Castle to Cotherstone, walking alongside the river Tees throughout fields and forests.

Bolam Lake and Shaftoe Grags

Nous utilisons de nouveau les livres de poche "Pathfinder Guide" pour aller en randonnée... et "ça marche bien"! 
Départ aux abords du lac Bolam, puis traversée des champs pour rejoindre les Shaftoe Crags, rochers imposants sur flanc de colline.

Starting at Bolam Lake and then crossing through the countryside to reach the rocky hills of Shaftoe Crags.
